A EKG Technician (CET) is a healthcare professional trained to perform electrocardiograms
(EKG or ECG) on patients. EKGs are vital in diagnosing heart conditions, helping medical
teams assess heart health, monitor heart activity during procedures, and guide treatment
decisions.
The training program covers essential topics such as EKG interpretation, cardiac anatomy,
physiology, patient care, and medical ethics. You'll gain both theoretical knowledge and
hands-on skills. Hands-on experience is invaluable. During your training, you'll have
opportunities to work directly with patients, perform EKGs, and master the operation of EKG.

Third party vendors: Students will be able to apply for financial assistance through third party vendors such as Klarna, Affirm, Sezzle, Meritize, Afterpay and Fynn. Scholarships PHMI has in house scholarships that may be available through Promise Health Institute, a 501c3 nonprofit. Students have to turn in a two-page typed essay stating why education is important, why they should be awarded a scholarship and how the community would benefit from them entering the medical field. If awarded a scholarship, the student must complete the program of choice successfully. If the student does not complete the program successfully, 100% of the monies are owed back to the school. The student can only be awarded one scholarship at PHMI for one program only.
